The parts you were getting stuck were 100% because the computers refuse to actually put that much torque through the rear diff. It’s a piddly little thing and can’t handle much sustained slip. This is not a vehicle to take off- road unless you know how to drive off-road. I don't know that it's any better or worse than any other FWD-based crossover in this department. Just isn't what it's made for.
